I have just got to blow our trumpet about our excellent customer service following 2 really nice comments from customers this week. Nothing unusual here, we are always getting nice comments from our customers but I wanted to share these with you.

Check out this blog by one of our highly satisfied customers who felt so chuffed that she blogged about it on a simple yarn. The amazing thing about this particular order was that we posted the boots on Saturday in London and they arrived in Dublin on Monday…..awesome. One highly satisfied customer!!!!!!!!

We also did our usual ‘nothing is too much trouble’ for another customer urgently wanting some wellies for a festival this weekend. Customer (Lisa) ordered at 3pm on 21 May and the boots arrived by overnight courier at 9.00 a.m. the next morning, at no extra cost to the customer. This is what Lisa had to say about our service……Hello, I just wanted to thank you for your first class service. I received my wellies yesterday as promised and am delighted with them! Personally, I don’t see the point of the claims, which in my opinion would be difficult to substantiate, to be the original welly company or the biggest supplier of Funky wellies in Europe. These and many other self-professed claims are just, in my opinion, plainly ridiculous. Or can they be substantiated? Does it really drive customers to their site because of their claims?….I doubt it. Surely it’s all about the valued customer, their needs, wants, desires, expectations and a company aiming to deliver those.

Do you ever see M & S claim to be the biggest supplier, if indeed they are, of ladies knickers?………….no. M & S spend their marketing budget on trying to appeal to customers who want something different to BHS or Debenhams.

To us, if we lose sight of what it is the customers want, then we lose sight of the aim of our company. We also just love to source new styles, colours and patterns that our competitors can’t get hold of, this is what sets us apart.

Our new autumn collection is being manufactured now and we will be bringing those to the attention of our customers very soon. We are also sourcing new brands with something a little unique and once finalised our customers will be the first to know.

We have some very exciting plans for the continued growth of WellieArt and when the time is right all will be revealed.

Long live the stylish welly, there will always be room in your shoe closet for much loved wellies. Remember, wellies are for lifestyle not just for festivals.

Still spinning from last week’s attention from OK magazine The Telegraph also featured the Jacobsen nut brown wellies available on our site.

It is interesting how far and wide the attention goes when a product is featured. This week we have had enquiries from lifestyle magazines in Germany and LA. Maybe ‘Posh’ will order a pair from us to wear to the LA Galaxy games.

The nut-brown Ilse Jacobsen lace up wellies were featured in issues number 582 of OK magazine. Worn by the lovely ‘Louise’ from Hollyoaks the boots have been our top selling boot since stocking them last autumn.

Fabulously hand made in Europe, the boots offer luxurious fit and comfort and are suitable for all calf measurements due to the wearer using the lacing to suit their fit.

Interestingly I read in ‘theLondonPaper’ freebie that there is a definite shift in customers turning their back on their obsession with Cheap Chic as their wardrobes and undoubtedly their shoe racks are bulging. Instead customers are returning to better quality, higher-priced and more individual items.

Great news for us with our boots as we deliberately try to include wellies that offer something very different to the ‘buy by the container load’ wellies flooding the high street and web.

Never have wellies been featured in the press so much as the Summer of 2007.

The latest wearer of wellies was David Cameron fresh back from his Rwanda visit. Cameron, Conservative leader, was seen sploshing through the water in what appeared to be a pair of green Hunter wellies.
